Alumina – Al₂O₃
The Raw Material for the production of primary Aluminium. Alumina is converted into Aluminium in the electrolysis process. Bathco sources from large and renowned Alumina refineries globally.
Aluminium Fluoride – AlF₃
Aluminium Fluoride is an additive to the electrolysis process that, in essence, lowers the melting point of the process and hence reduces electricity consumption. Bathco has cooperation and marketing agreements with producers of AlF₃Â of different origins.
Bath Material
Bath Material, crucial in the Hall-Héroult process for primary Aluminum, accumulates as surplus due to high Sodium in Alumina during smelting. Bathco, a global leader, collaborates with smelters to provide timely, quality Bath Material for diverse applications, including recycling and manufacturing. We offer flexibility in working with any supplier or buyer, ensuring reliable supply globally.
Calcined Petroleum Coke – CPC
Calcined Petroleum Coke is produced from Green Delayed Petroleum Coke in a calcination process. It is a vital Raw Material for the production of Carbon Anodes. Bathco supplies this material from the industry’s leading Global producers.
Carbon Anodes
In smelters running with prebake technology, Carbon Anodes, consisting of Calcined Petroleum Coke and Coal Tar Pitch as a binder are consumed.
A smelter either produces their own Carbon Anodes or procures them on the market. Bathco can supply any size of Anodes under spot- and/or long-term agreements.
Carbon Anode Butts
For smelters that produce Carbon Anodes, Bathco can provide spent Anodes (Anode Butts) from a variety of smelters with different qualities. Those Anode Butts can be used again as Raw Material for the production of Anodes.
Coal Tar Pitch – CTP
Coal Tar Pitch is a derivate of the distillation of Coal Tar. It is used as a binder for the production of Carbon Anodes.
Synthetic Cryolite – Na₃AlF₆
Synthetic Cryolite was primarily used as the electrolyte in the Aluminium reduction process. For this purpose, it has been widely replaced by Bath Material and is now used mainly for specialty applications. Bathco supplies all qualities of Synthetic Cryolite to its customers.

Bathco sources Primary Aluminium in the grade of P1020A and P0610A from a variety of producers globally. Product can be made available in the shape of small or standard Ingots strapped into bundles, Sows, or Tbars.
Billets
Bathco is working closely with selected producers of Billets allowing us to offer a wide range of alloys and diameters.

Bathco sources High Purity and extremely High Purity (3N9 or higher) from a variety of producers globally. Depending on the required grade, the High Purity can be made available in different shapes.

Bathco sources Off-Grades from a variety of producers globally, in the grade of P1535A all the way down to AB98. Product can be made available in all shapes and sizes, from small Ingots up to (cut) Rolling Slabs.

Multi Point Feed (MPF) Technology
The Multi Point Feed (MPF) Technology improves the Aluminum production by distributing Alumina through multiple feeders, leading to significantly improved metal purity with reduced iron and silicon content. This method not only minimizes the carbon footprint and operational costs but also effectively curtails the frequency and duration of “Anode Effects.“ These effects, often caused by inadequate Alumina feeding, result in the emission of potent greenhouse gases. MPF’s multi-feeder approach ensures a more consistent and efficient Alumina distribution, enhancing both the environmental and operational efficiency of Aluminum smelting.
Ready-made Cathode Assemblies (HPCA)
HPCA, High Performance Cathode Assemblies, is a technology involving ready-made cathodes. HPCA comprises carbon cathode blocks with collector bars, Electrically Compensating Plates (ECPs), Contact Plugs (CP), and Air Cooled Cathode Tabs (ACCT) for uniform current distribution and energy efficiency. Tested for thermal stress resistance, HPCA promises reduced metal velocity, lower cathode erosion, and improved current efficiency. The solution is produced and marketed together with Tokai Cobex, a global leader in Carbon products.

Bathco offers to compensate any emissions caused by its products through verified certificates. This can be to offset the CO₂ emitted, or to compensate for non-renewable electricity used. In either case, Bathco will always transparently disclose how certificates were obtained.
